UGM and Foreign Affairs Ministry Launch Centre for Asean Studies

 

Director of Asean Cooperation, Foreign Affairs Ministry, I Gusti Agung Wesaka Puja, Rector of UGM, Prof. Dr. Pratikno, M.Soc., Sc, and Dean of Faculty of Social and Politial Sciences, Dr. Erwan Agus Purwanto, have inaugurated the ASEAN Studies Centre, marked by the seminar “Toward A More Cohesive and people-Oriented ASEAN: 2015 and Beyond” in UGM Graduate School on Tuesday (30/4).

UGM Robots Win Again

YOGYAKARTA – UGM robot team has won a gold medal in the Trinity Fire Fighting Contest, held from 6-7 April in Hartford City, Connecticut, in the U.S. Following that, the team also won two gold medals and one silver in RoboGames 2013 Olympics of Robots, 19-21 April, in San Mateo, California. Malik Khidir, member of the team, said the robot was named Hafidz after the member of the team who was unable to go to the competition in the U.S.

Agricultural Campaigning through Agroexpo

Association of Agronomy and Silviculture Students (IMAGRO) of Faculty of Agriculture UGM has campaignd for local farming and food through an exhibition called Gadjah Mada Agroexpo 2013,  held on 28/4 in Lembah UGM.
The event with the theme Agroexploration showcased a variety of Indonesian agricultural products. The event to commemmorate the 31th anniversary of the Association was celebrated through fun walk with Regent of Sleman, discussion, competitions, food free distribution, etc.

Enny Sampurno: Not Enough to be Smart


Enny Hartati Sampurno, HRD Director of PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk. (Unilever) said that Unilever had an ambition to generate talented leaders in their own fields. For the next few years, Unilever has already prepared reliable leaders who are ready to compete.

“You may already know Mrs. Sri Urip, the first chairwoman of Unilever and in the world? She studied at Chemical Engineering UGM. So, I want new Unilever leaders from this faculty,” she said in the Inspiring Leadership event on Friday (26/4).
