63 Students and Alumni of UGM Law Faculty Followed Legal Aid Training


As many as 63 students and graduates of Faculty of Law followed Training of Legal Aid Excercise (Kalabahu) held at Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), 25-30 January 2010. The participants coming from Yogyakarta Special Province, Purwokerto and East Kalimantan received training and learning from Faculty of Law's teaching staff, practitioners and activists of Legal Aid Agency (LBH).

Potential Conflict, 12 Outer Islands of the Republic of Indonesia Need Special Attention

From 92 outer islands spreading throughout the Republic of Indonesia,  67 islands have border with neighboring countries; 12 of these need special attention. Those were several topics that were raised in the National Seminar on Management of Outer Islands, Saturday (23/1), at Faculty of Geography, UGM.

The US Embassy Encouraged Partnership between UGM and US Universities

The US Embassy in Jakarta has encouraged increased cooperation between UGM and universities in the USA. That was said by US Ambassador Cameron Hume, responding to the suggestion from the Rector of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Prof. Ir. Sudjarwadi, M.Eng. Ph.D., that UGM can become a cooperation hub between US Universities and a number of Indonesian universities.
