UGM has cooperated with the European Union through Erasmus Mundus. The cooperation allows UGM to send its excellent students, from undergraduate to doctoral level, to participate in exchange programs with many European universities that join the consortiums, such as Lotus, AREAS, and MAHEVA program. UGM also receives master and doctoral students from universities in Europe to do their research on particular topics in UGM through the NOHA (Network on Humanitarian Assistance) project.
