DIKOM’s learning material has a wide range, both related to the study of journalism, public relations, advertising, and entertainment media. At present, DIKOM has great attention to the development of communication and digital media. This concern prompted DIKOM to develop a learning curriculum and also research that had links with these developments.

Graduate Competencies

Graduates of this study program master one of three areas of majors, namely Media, Media Support System, and Media Perspective. In Media major, our students learn about knowledge related to the production of media texts, especially modern print and electronic mass media. Graduates of this major have the capacity to be media actors able create media texts.

Media Support System majors learn about knowledge relating to advertising and public relations. Media Perspective majors learn about the theoretical aspects of the media existence. Graduates of this major have the ability to conduct media research.

 

Career Prospects

Our graduates are able to work as experts or professionals in the mass media sector (print, electronic, and online), public relation staff in various government and private institutions, account executives, media planners, advertisers, and researchers.
