UGM Agricultural Engineering students won four medals and two awards at the 2022 Agricultural Engineering-Annual Regional Convention (AE-ARC). The Convention was hosted online by the Philippine Society of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers (PSABE) this year, with participants from various universities in ASEAN countries.
The competition comprised eight categories, namely ABE Quiz Bee, Video Making Contest, Tractor Parts Identification, Digital Poster Making Contest, Combined Rice Harvester Parts Identification, Technical Paper Presentation, Essay Writing, and Photography Contest.
“Despite limited interactions and activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic, students remain enthusiastic, creative, and innovative,” said Head of the UGM Department of Agricultural and Biosystem Engineering Prof. Lilik Soetiarso, Thursday (19/5).
Under the guidance of the Department’s lecturers, including Dr. Andri Prima Nugroho, Siti Mariyam, and Aryanis Mutia Zahra, the following UGM representatives managed to grab medals and awards:
Damar Abhinawa: 3rd Winner of Combine Harvester Parts Identification (Bronze)
Vincentius Ferry: 2nd Winner of Technical Paper Presentation – Oral Category (Silver)
Betty Mei Ari Murti: 3rd Winner of Technical Paper Presentation – Poster Category (Bronze)
Ibnu Farras: 3rd Winner of Technical Paper Presentation – Oral Category (Bronze)
Bernadetha Grace Wisdayantai: Special Award Nominee of Essay Writing Contest
Raditya Suwardana: Special Award Nominee of Essay Writing Contest
