Rector of Universitas Gadjah Mada, Prof. Ir. Sudjarwadi, M. Eng., Ph.D., Monday (2 / 11), inaugurated Prof. Dr. Ir. Edhi Martono, M.Sc. as Caretaker of UGM Graduate School, replacing Prof. Dr. Irwan Abdullah, M.A. who has ended his tenure. On the occasion, the Rector also inaugurated Dr. Sigit Riyanto, S.H, L.L.M, as Vice Dean of Academic and Cooperation, Faculty of Law UGM.
In his briefing, the Rector asked the new officials to work well and improve all the weaknesses in the organization. "We must maintain the health of the organization. UGM has developed much, but there is still room for improvement with sustainable principles," the Rector said in the inauguration ceremony at UGM Central Office.
The Rector also expressed gratitude to Prof. Irwan who had done his job well. According to the Rector, under the leadership of Prof. Irwan, much progress had been achieved by the Graduate Program, both for multidisciplinary and monodisciplinary sciences. "Steps to improve the Graduate School are not constraint-free and they would become an experience for the next officials," he said.
